12 different card games for Solitaire fans
Solitaire Greatest Hits might sound like some kind of tribute album to the great card game but it's actually a collection of 12 Solitaire games for Mac.
The developer says the aim of the whole project is to 'create high quality, free implementations of classic Solitaire games that should have shipped with the Mac'. Whether or not you feel quite that passionately about the game, Solitaire Greatest Hits will certainly keep you busy, with games such as Klondike Solitaire, Free Cell, Spider, Pyramid, Canfield, Aces Up, Golf, Scorpian, Yukon, Baker's Game and Forty Thieves.
Each game has been given a nice OS X look and feel with detailed instructions included for each. Conveniently, you can save and resume games when you want. All the controls are clearly displayed across the top of each game such as 'Save', 'Instructions' and a handy 'Undo' and 'Redo' button. If you find yourself really stuck, there's also an 'Auto-complete' option.
Solitaire Greatest Hits is a nice collection of Solitaire games that's well presented and fully documented, giving you hours of fun.
