A bigger and better FM entry
The biggest feature of Football Manager 2024 is that it allows you to pick up from where you left off with FM 23. Players can transfer their saved games and start this entry with the roster and the upgrades they already have. Combined with new features in the 2024 entry, players no longer have to build their football clubs from the ground up.
As the next entry in the series, this game features the updated 2023 season roster. New and returning players will find new players and slightly revamped football lineups for most clubs, reflecting real-world changes. Like its predecessors, it tests your ability to create the best football club. Generate gameplay strategies, upgrade your recruitment network, and go head-to-head against AI-controlled football managers.
The largest letdown in this entry is that it still doesn’t include the UEFA Women’s Champions League, despite the women’s football event being included in a previous licensing agreement. According to the developers, however, it will be included in a future FM25 installment. Other than this, the steep learning curve of the FM franchise still remains up to this entry.

Coinciding with the franchise’s 20th anniversary, Football Manager 2024 (FM 24) is a worthy closure to an era of football management games. It improves upon its predecessors’ strengths with updated global rosters, improved gameplay mechanics, and better visuals with a new soundtrack. Lastly, franchise fans can now continue where they left off with a save transfer. Despite a few shortages, it’s still a worthy successor to the FM series.
